Krystal-lised Kontest. Chapter 5.

Plot:
The day of the contest was approaching. Krystal Walker was training hard for it while she was in the park. She had her Feebas and her Bayleef out.
Krystal: Feebas, Surf!
Feebas: Feebas!
Feebas summoned a powerful tidal wave, swamping the part she was in.
Krystal: Bayleef, Energy Ball!
Bayleef: Bay, Bay!
Bayleef formed a sea green aura ball in front of her mouth and fired it toward the Surf, causing the wave to get destroyed, causing beautiful sparkles.
Krystal: This should get me into the contest for sure.

Meanwhile, in another part of the park, Melanie was training. She was using her Shellder and her Flabebe.
Melanie: Flabebe, Fairy Wind!
Flabebe: Fla! Bebe!
Flabebe spun her flower around and she formed a beautiful pink wind.
Melanie: Shellder, Aurora Beam!
Shellder: Shed!
Shellder put his tongue back into his mouth, stuck it back out and fired a rainbow beam toward the Fairy Wind, causing the 2 moves to intercept and cause a beautiful explosion.
Melanie: I’m bound to win this contest with a cute fairy wind and a multicoloured beam. Isn’t that right, Flabebe and Shellder?
Flabebe: Fla!
Shellder: Shedder!

Soon, the day of the contest had arrived. Tommy, Perry, Lola and Oliver were waiting for Krystal and Melanie since they were in the contest.
Tommy: Where could they be?
Robotboy: Me not know. Robotboy want watch contest.
Tommy: You can view it from my bag, but no one is meant to see you, remember?
Robotboy: Me remember.

Then, Krystal arrived. She had her hair in spirally pigtails, and she was wearing a light magenta sleeveless shirt, a magenta knee length skirt, a red pearl bracelet on her left wrist, purple earrings and blue ballet flats.
Oliver: Cuz? Is that you?
Krystal: It’s me!
Perry: You look…..exquisite!
Krystal: He he! Thanks, Perrykins!
Then, Melanie arrived. She had her hair in a flip-style, she was wearing a yellow hairband with no bow, and she was wearing a purple long sleeved shirt, a green knee length pleated skirt, yellow earrings, white leggings and black Mary Janes with 2.5 cm heels.
Oliver: Mel! You look….exquisite!
Melanie: He he! Thanks, Ollikins!
Perry: Wow, Melanie! You really are a Phoebe!
Tommy, Lola, Krystal, Oliver and Melanie: Perry!
Krystal: Well, we’d better go in there. The contest is about to start.

And the contest was starting.
Vivian: Welcome to this Pokémon Contest! First of all, I would like to welcome our panel judges. We welcome Mr. Contesta.
Contesta: I’m looking forward to judging this contest.
Vivian: And we welcome Mr. Sukizo.
Sukizo: This contest should be remarkable.
Vivian: And the Bay Area’s Nurse Joy.
Joy: I am honoured to judge this contest.
Vivian: Our first contestant is Krystal Emily Walker originating from Atlantic City, New Jersey!
Krystal: Thank you, everyone!
Krystal threw her 2 Pokéballs.
Krystal: Feebas, Bayleef, spotlight!
Feebas: Feebas!
Bayleef: Bayleef!
Krystal: Bayleef, Razor Leaf!
Bayleef: Bay, Bay!
Bayleef used her Razor Leaf around the stage.
Krystal: Now, Feebas! Ice Beam!
Feebas: Feebas!
Feebas opened her mouth and fired a powerful light blue zigzaggy beam at the Razor Leaf, causing the leaves to freeze, awing the crowd.
Krystal: Now, Feebas! Surf!
Feebas: Feebas!
Feebas formed a large tidal wave in the battlefield, ready to swamp it.
Krystal: Now, Bayleef! Energy Ball!
Bayleef: Bay!
Bayleef formed a blue-green ball of energy and fired it at the Surf, causing it to explode into beautiful sparkles.
Vivian: Wow! That was one lovely show! Let’s see what the judges have to say about this.

Mr. Contesta: 8.
Mr. Sukizo: 6.
Nurse Joy: 7.
Total: 21.
Vivian: Wow!
Perry: Alright, Krystie! Can’t wait to see you in the battle!
Oliver: Way to go, Cuz!
Vivian Let’s hear what our judges have to say.
Contesta: That a beautiful combination of Grass, Ice and Water.
Sukizo: Her performance was remarkable.
Joy: Using that Feebas and that Bayleef together was a pretty good performance.
Krystal: We did it, Bayleef and Feebas!
Feebas: Feeb!

Suddenly, Feebas turned white.
Krystal: Huh?!
Tommy: Is that….?
Oliver: Feebas is…..
Perry: Evolving!
Feebas started to grow much much larger. Once the white had disappeared, Feebas is now like an eel, has a cream half body, a half body with crimson and blue scales, 4 fins on her tail, antennae, and arm-like ears.
Vivian: I don’t believe it! Krystal’s Feebas has evolved into Milotic!
Krystal: You both did great, Bayleef and Feebas—Oh, I mean Milotic.
Bayleef: Bayleef.
Milotic: Mikalo.

Next, it was Melanie Collins’ turn.
Vivian: We welcome Melanie Alexandra Collins originating from Cincinnati, Ohio!
Melanie: Thank you, everyone!
Vivian: Let’s see Melanie perform with her Pokémon!
Melanie: (throws Pokéballs) Shellder, Flabébé, spotlight!
Shellder: Shedder!
Flabébé: Fla!
Melanie: Flabebe, Fairy Wind!
Flabebe: Fla! Bébé!
Flabébé spun her flower around and formed a beautiful pink wind across the stage.
Melanie: Now, Shellder, Ice Beam!
Shellder: Shell!
Shellder stuck his tongue in his mouth and fired a pale blue zigzaggy beam at the Fairy Wind. The Fairy Wind froze.
Melanie: Now Flabébé, Magical Leaf!
Flabébé: Flabébé!
Flabébé spun her flower and she let out many beautiful glowing leaves at the frozen Fairy Wind.
Melanie: Now, Shellder, Aurora Beam!
Shellder: Shellder!
Shellder stuck his tongue back into his mouth and he fired a rainbow coloured beam at the frozen Fairy Wind, causing the leaves and the beam to intercept with it, breaking the ice, producing pink dust in the air and rainbow sparkles.
Everyone: Ooh! Aah!
Vivian: Wow! Let’s see what our judges have to say about that!
Contesta: 10.
Sukizo: 10.
Joy: 10.
Total: 30.
Mr. Contesta: That was one of the most outstanding performances I’ve ever seen!
Mr. Sukizo: That was very remarkable!
Nurse Joy: That combination of Fairy and Ice was a sight to see!
Oliver: With a score like that, she’s bound to make it!

Later, other Pokemon were performing.
Next, a Furret and a Luxio performing.
Then, a Blaziken and a Venusaur.
Then a Pachirisu and a Piplup.
Then a Malamar and an Octillery.
Then a Persian and a Tsareena.
Then a Shiinotic and an Amaura.
Lastly, a Vespiquen and an Eevee.

Vivian: Wow! That was a brilliant round! Now to tally up the scores and see who will be battling.
There were 4 panels on the scoreboard. First there was May, then Dawn…
Ash: Wow!
Brock: Way to go, May and Dawn!
Dawn: Yay! I’m in the semi-finals!
May: Ditto to that!
Next on the panel was……..Melanie.
Oliver: Yes! Way to go, Mel!
Melanie: Yes, I’m in the semi-finals!
And the last one on the panel was………..
Krystal: Come on! Let it be me!
The last panel was……..Justine.
Bambi: What?! Oh, that is just great. First I get sent to a boarding school, and now I don’t enter the finals.
Perry: What?! Krystie didn’t make it?!
Oliver: My cousin didn’t make it?!
Krystal: I…..didn’t make it?! No! Where did I go wrong?! Oh well, I guess I’ll have to watch Melanie in her matches.

First battle is Melanie Collins versus Dawn.
Ash: You can do it, Dawn!
Pikachu: Pika!
Dawn: No need to worry! I’ve got the Pokémon to win it for me!
Melanie: Let’s start this! (throws her Pokéballs) Flabébé, Shellder, spotlight!
Flabébé: Flab!
Shellder: Shed!
Dawn: (throws her Pokéballs) Piplup, Pachirisu, spotlight!
Pachirisu: Chipa!
Piplup: Piplup!
Perry: This looks like an interesting match.
Oliver: Oh no. Shellder’s a Water-type, and Pachirisu’s an Electric-type!
Tommy: That means….
Lola: Shellder’s doomed!


Melanie: Flabébé, Magical Leaf!
Flabébé: Flabébé!
Flabébé spun her flower and out came shining leaves, flying toward Piplup and Pachirisu.
Melanie: Shellder, Water Gun!
Shellder: Shed!
Shellder stuck his tongue back into his mouth and fired a jet of water.
Dawn: Piplup, Bubble Beam!
Piplup: Piplup! Piplup, Piplup!
Piplup opened his beak and fired a jet of light blue bubbles at Flabébé.
Dawn: Pachirisu, Spark!
Pachirisu: Chipa!
Pachirisu sparked his whole body and ran toward Shellder.
The result was, as Pachirisu ran into Shellder’s Water Gun, the electricity went inside, causing Shellder to get shocked. And Flabébé’s leaves burst Piplup’s Bubble Beam and hit Piplup.
Dawn: Piplup!

Melanie: Let’s go for a different approach! Flabébé! Fairy Wind, and Shellder, Ice Beam!
Flabébé spun her flower one more time and out came pink wind, and Shellder fired a pale blue zigzagged beam along the Fairy Wind toward Piplup and Pachirisu.
Dawn: Piplup, Drill Peck! And Pachirisu, Sweet Kiss!
Piplup spun around like a drill and he flew straight toward Flabébé. Pachirisu put his front paws on his mouth and let out an angel. However, the Fairy Wind Ice Beam was too powerful for the 2 moves, and they hit Pachirisu and Piplup instantly, defeating them instantly, leaving many pink and blue sparkles all over the stage.
Vivian: Looks like Melanie Collins will be advancing to the final round!
Tommy: Wow!
Oliver: Mel, Mel, you’re my gal! If you can’t do it, no one shall!
Perry: I’ll have to congratulate Melanie, but I still feel bad for my Krystie for not making it.
Ash: Whoa:
Brock: Dawn lost?!
Pikachu: Pika pika?

Later, it was May’s turn to battle Princess Justine.
May: (throws Pokéballs) Venusaur, Blaziken, take the stage!
Venusaur: Venusaur!
Blaziken: Blaziken!
Justine: (throws her Pokéballs) Furret, Luxio, let’s do zis!
Furret: Furret!
Luxio: Luxio!
Vivian: Looks like this will be a close match!
Justine: Luxio, Rain Dance.
Luxio: Luxio!
Luxio spat water from his mouth into the air, creating rain clouds, making it rain.
Justine: Furret, Shock Wave!
Furret: Furret!
Furret’s cheeks crackled and she let out a light blue shock wave around the battlefield.
May: Blaziken, Sky Uppercut!
Blaziken: Blaze!
Blaziken was ready to go for Furret and use Sky Uppercut.
May: Venusaur, Petal Dance!
Venusaur: Venusaur!
Venusaur shook her flower and sent numerous petals flying around the battlefield.
Everything happened at once! The Shock Wave hit both Venusaur and Blaziken before Blaziken could use his Sky Uppercut.

Justine: Now, I’m going to use my dad’s robots to destroy your large Pokémon!
Justine clapped and her dad’s robots went toward Blaziken and Venusaur.
May: Oh no!
Brock: Oh my! This isn’t good!
Ash: May’s in trouble!
Pikachu: Pika pika!
The robots blasted Venusaur and Blaziken until they were defeated.
Contesta: That’s not right!
Sukizo: Not remarkable!
Joy: Using robots is against the rules!
After Joy had said this, a black X appeared on Justine’s picture.
Vivian: Princess Justine has been disqualified. May is the winner by default!
May: (in Delia’s voice) Yay! I won! I did it! And I didn’t have to defeat my opponent!
Justine: Oh, disqualify me for doing the right thing?! How dare you! Go, Furret and Luxio! Get them!
Her Furret and Luxio were charging at them when….
A voice: Not so fast!

It was Krystal. Even if she didn’t make it to the finals, she was still raring to go. She was still in her contest uniform, and she had her newly caught Baltoy out. Turns out she’d caught one prior to the events of this contest.
Justine: Krystal?! You’re not in this contest! Get out of here! Get her, Luxio and Furret! You too, Robots!
Luxio: Lux!
Justine: Luxio, Thunder Fang!
Luxio’s teeth electrified and he tried to bite Baltoy, but it failed.
Justine: Furret, Shock Wave!
Furret used Shock Wave again, but it only damaged the robots, and it didn’t damage Baltoy.
Baltoy: (singing spookily) Baltoy!
Krystal: You’re the blonde brain, Justine!
Justine: You’re blonde too, Krystal.
Krystal: You should know that Baltoy’s a Ground-type and Electric-type moves won’t work. Now, Baltoy! Psybeam!
Baltoy’s eyes started to glow rainbow and he fired a multi-coloured beam at Luxio and Furret, sending them on Justine.
Krystal: Now, Baltoy, Earthquake!
Baltoy: Balt!
Baltoy spun in the air and he slammed himself to the ground, causing the stage to shake violently, and send Justine, her robots and her Pokémon flying!
Krystal: Bye bye, Justine!

Now, it’s time for Melanie to battle May since the latter won by default.
Melanie: Flabébé, Shellder, spotlight!
Flabébé: Fla!
Shellder: Shellder!
May: Venusaur, Blaziken, take the stage!
Venusaur: Venusaur!
Blaziken: Blaziken!
Vivian: Which of these 2 will win the ribbon?
Melanie: Shellder, Aurora Beam on Venusaur. Flabébé, Fairy Wind!
Shellder fired a rainbow-coloured beam at Venusaur, and Flabébé spun her flower around, blowing a pink wind.
May: Blaziken, Overheat!
Blaziken: Blaziken!
Blaziken opened his mouth and fired a stream of round fire at Shellder and Flabébé.
May: Venusaur, Petal Dance!
Venusaur used another Petal Dance, causing all 4 attacks to intercept. Then, an explosion occurred. The explosion settled to reveal the 4 Pokémon to be just fine.
May: Blaziken, Blaze Kick on Flabébé! Venusaur, Vine Whip on Shellder!
Venusaur: Venusaur!
Venusaur let her vines out toward Shellder.
Melanie: Shellder, Water Gun on Blaziken! Flabébé, Psychic on Venusaur!
Perry: Psychic?!
Oliver: Flabébé can learn Psychic?!
Flabébé: Flabébé!
Flabébé’s eyes turned blue, the background turned black, and a light blue wave emitted toward Venusaur, causing great damage.
Shellder spat water at Blaziken, dealing a lot of damage.
May: Venusaur! Blaziken!
Melanie: Now, Flabébé and Shellder! Use Fairy Wind and Razor Shell!
Flabébé used another Fairy Wind, and Shellder let some shells out, and send them flying. Both attacks hit Venusaur and Blaziken, defeating them in the process.
May: No!
Vivian: This contest goes to Melanie Collins!

Melanie: I did it! I won! I won my first contest!
Oliver: You did it, Mel!
Ash: I can’t believe it!
Brock: How did May’s Pokémon lose to such small Pokémon?
Ash: Beats me.

Later, Melanie was presented with a ribbon.
Vivian: Congratulations, Melanie.
And Melanie picked out a pink and blue ribbon.
Melanie: I won a ribbon! And thank you, Vivian! But this ribbon doesn’t just belong to me!
Vivian: It doesn’t?!
Melanie: This ribbon also belongs to….
Oliver: Please be me! Please be me!
Melanie:…..Krystal Walker!
Oliver: Huh?!
Melanie: Krystal! Could you come up here?

Krystal walked up to the stage.
Krystal: Why do I deserve it? I didn’t make it!
Melanie: No, but you really helped May out when that Peach clone cheated.
Krystal: I did?!
May: Yes. You helped me.
Krystal: Well, I’ve just regained confidence!
Vivian: That’s all, folks! And we’ll see Melanie Collins in the next contest, right?
Melanie: Nope. I’ve decided to retire undefeated. My current aim is to be a Pokémon Champion in the Pokémon Championship that’s coming soon!
Vivian: Well, that’s an interesting ending.

Later, after Krystal and Melanie changed back into their normal outfits, they exited the conference.
Krystal: You are truly grateful, Melanie. And thanks again for letting me share your ribbon.
Melanie: Hey, it’s no problem, Krystal. That’s what friends do for friends.
They were continuing their walk when they spotted a mysterious trainer.
Krystal: Huh?!
Melanie: Who could this be?!
The mystery trainer: The name is Illoo. And I challenge you to a battle!
Melanie: Who? Me?
Illoo: Both of you.
Krystal: You’re on!

The battle was about to be set when Tommy, Robotboy, Perry, Lola and Oliver came along.
Tommy: What’s going on here?
Lola: Looks like a battle is going on!
Illoo: Each side will use 2 Pokémon!
Krystal: Okay! Let’s do it!
Illoo: (throws Pokéballs) Aegislash, Shiinotic, Battle ground!
Out came his Aegislash and Shiinotic.
Shiinotic: Shii!
Aegislash: Aegislash!

Now Krystal and Melanie are in the middle of another battle. Which Pokémon will they use?
