Illoo’s Strategies. Chapter 6.

I do own Perry, Oliver, Melanie and Krystal.

Plot:
Last time, Krystal and Melanie were pitted against a trainer named Illoo. What Pokémon will they use this time?
Krystal: (throws her Pokéball) Cyndaquil, spotlight!
Cyndaquil: Cindy quill!
Melanie: (throws Pokéball) Shellder, spotlight!
Shellder: Shed!
Illoo: An average match! I see. Shiinotic, Moonblast on Cyndaquil!
Shiinotic: Shii!
Shiinotic pointed her mushroom toward Cyndaquil and fired bright pink moonlight at him, but it didn’t do much.
Illoo: Aegislash, King’s Shield!
Aegislash: Aegislash!
Aegislash put his shield in front of him, protecting him.
Krystal: Cyndaquil, Flame Wheel on Aegislash!
Cyndaquil: Cindy!
Cyndaquil curled up into a wheel, covered himself in flames and struck Aegislash, only to intercept with his shield, doing nothing.
Krystal: Huh?!
Melanie: Shellder, Aurora Beam on Shiinotic!
Shellder stuck his tongue back into his mouth and fired a rainbow beam at Shiinotic, damaging her immensely.

Illoo: Aegislash, use your Head Smash on Cyndaquil!
Aegislash: Aegi!
Aegislash started to ram toward Cyndaquil when…..

Krystal: Cyndaquil, Flamethrower!
Cyndaquil: Cindy!
Cyndaquil opened his mouth and let out a stream of fire at Aegislash, immediately defeating him.
Illoo: Aegislash!
Melanie: Now Shellder, Ice Beam on Shiinotic!
Shellder: Shed!
Shellder fired a zigzagged pale blue beam at Shiinotic, immediately defeating her.
Illoo: Wow! You girls are stronger than you look!
Krystal: Gee, thanks!
Melanie: Well, I did win my Contest Ribbon.
Illoo: Well, congrats…um…?
Melanie: I’m Melanie! Melanie Collins!
Krystal: And I’m Krystal. Krystal Walker.
Illoo: Krystal? Melanie? Nice names.

Krystal: So what brings you here, Illoo?
Illoo: I’m training to compete in the upcoming Pokémon Championship.
Melanie: Us too!
Illoo: Stay a while. I might help you with your training for that league!

Unbeknownst to either of them, hiding in the bushes were none other than Team Bucket’s Messie and Lames with their talking Meowth.
Jessie: Did you get a load of that battle?
James: That battle really was something, wasn’t it?
Meowth: Well, not really! It was simple battle for those goils.
Jessie: Why don’t we capture that man’s Aegislash and Shiinotic and give them to the boss?
Meowth: I can picture it now….

*fades to fantasy*

Meowth: De boss will use dat Aegislash if he were to ever act as a knight in shining armour and warn off his opponents, and if he ever has trouble cutting his sandwiches, he can get Aegislash to help cut ‘em up for him. And he can use dat Shiinotic to Sleep Powder and send him to sleep. And dis is what he’ll say.
Giovanni: (in Meowth’s deep voice) Meowth and friends are de best grunts I’ve ever had. Dey desoive a big reward for dis. Heh!

*fades back to reality*

Messie, Lames and Meowth: Shiinotic and Aegislash! The boss will give us loads of cash!
Wobbuffet: Wah-buffet!

Meanwhile, Tommy, Perry and Oliver were walking in the park to look for Pokémon to catch. They want to catch more Pokémon for balance in the Pokémon Championship. They immediately came across a yellow electric rodent.
Tommy: It’s a Pikachu!
Perry: Pikachus aren’t very common around this area.
Oliver: Though they are common.
Robotboy: That look like one you already own.
Tommy: Well, my Pikachu evolved into a Raichu while we were in Hawaii one day.
Oliver: I know just how to settle this Pikachu! (throws Pokéball) Pikachu, go!
Oliver’s Pikachu: Pika!
Robotboy: What you doing, Oliver?
Oliver: I want to battle this Pikachu with my Pikachu. Pikachu, Thunder Shock!
Oliver’s Pikachu: Pika!
Pikachu’s cheeks turned yellow and he let out a weak jolt of electricity on the wild Pikachu.
Wild Pikachu: Chaaaa!
The wild Pikachu got mad and let out an even more powerful jolt of electricity on Oliver’s Pikachu.
Oliver: Whoa! This Pikachu’s really something! Come on, Pikachu! Hang in there! Signal Beam!
Oliver’s Pikachu: Pika!
Perry: Signal Beam?!
Oliver’s Pikachu stood on all fours, his right cheek stayed red, but his left cheek turned green, and he fired a powerful red, yellow and green beam at the wild Pikachu, confusing him in the process.
Oliver: Alright! Well done, Pikachu!
Perry: Er, Oliver. Let me do something with this Pikachu.
Oliver: Huh?
Perry: (takes out Pokéball and throws it) Go, Pokéball!
The Pokéball hit the wild Pikachu and trapped it. The ball wobbled, wobbled, wobbled, wobbled, wobbled, wobbled and……. ping!
Perry: (grabs Pokéball) Yes! I got a Pikachu!

Tommy: Well done, Oliver and Perry!
Robotboy: Yes, well done, boys!
Perry: Thanks. Now, let’s see how the girls are going.

Meanwhile, Lola was training against Illoo. Lola was using her Froakie against Iloo’s Pyroar.
Lola: Froakie, Water Pulse!
Froakie: Froakie!
Froakie opened his mouth and fired 5 rings of water at Pyroar, dealing great damage.
Illoo: Pyroar, Hyper Beam!
Pyroar: Roar!
Pyroar opened his mouth and let out a powerful orange beam with yellow particles at Froakie, showing he’s done for. And Froakie took great damage.  
Lola: Froakie!
Krystal and Melanie were watching the match.
Krystal: Looks like that Pyroar’s the mane star!
Melanie and Lola: Krystal!

Perry, Oliver and Tommy had arrived to see what was going on.
Tommy: Whoa!
Perry: Who’s this Lola’s battling?
Melanie: Lola’s opponent is Illoo, and we’re training against him.
Lola: Good. That Pyroar’s resting. Now, Froakie! Water Pulse!
Froakie launched another Water Pulse when a giant hand grabbed Pyroar. And it even grabbed Aegislash and Shiinotic who were out of there Pokéballs, watching the match.
Tommy: Huh?!
Krystal: Where’d that Pyroar go?!
Illoo: And my Aegislash and Shiinotic!

Messie, Lames and Meowth were in their hot air balloon, laughing in an evil manner.
Jessie: Sorry to break the battle, Twerps!
James: But we’ve got this Aegislash to get us some cash.
Meowth: And a Shiinotic to go with the lot!
Jessie: And this Pyroar to make the collection bigger!
Illoo: Who do you think you are, stealing Pokémon like that?!
Krystal: They’re Team Rocket, a bunch of crooks who like to steal Pokémon.
Jessie: Who are you calling crooks?
James: If you want to do something about it, you’ll have to battle!
Jessie: (throws Pokéball) Mimikyu, go!
Mimikyu: Mimik!
James: (throws Pokéball) Mareanie, go!
As Mareanie was sent out, she stuck her tentacles on James’ shoulders.
James: Hey! This is no time for love! This is time to fight!

Krystal: Leave this to us, Illoo! (throws Pokéball) Bayleef, spotlight!
Bayleef: Bayleef!
Melanie: (throws her Pokéball) Chimchar, spotlight!
Chimchar: Chimchar!
Oliver: (throws Pokéball) Totodile, go!
Totodile: Totodile!
Tommy: (throws his Pokéball) Venusaur, activate!
Venusaur: Venusaur!
Lola: Come on, Froakie! Let’s help!
Froakie: Froakie!

Perry: Leave the best part to me.
Jessie: Mimikyu, Shadow Ball on Chimchar!
Mimikyu formed a dark violet ball and fired it at Chimchar.
Chimchar: Chiiim!
Lola: Froakie, jump to Mimikyu and Lick!
Froakie jumped toward Mimikyu, stuck his tongue out and licked Mimikyu.
Melanie: Chimchar, Ember on the giant glove!
Chimchar opened his mouth and fired many small flames at the cable holding the glove and it melted, freeing Pyroar, Shiinotic and Aegislash.

Oliver: Totodile, use your Bite on Mimikyu!
Totodile ran to Mimikyu and bit it.
Tommy: Venusaur, use your Vine Whip!
Venusaur: Venusaur!
Venusaur let out his vines and grabbed Mareanie, and threw her at the balloon, making a puncture, causing the balloon to burst.
Illoo: Shiinotic, Sleep Powder!
Shiinotic: Shii!
Shiinotic shook her mushroom, sprinkling a blue powder, putting Team Bucket to sleep.
Perry: Leave the rest to me! (Throws Pokéball) Pikachu, stand by for battle!
Perry’s Pikachu: Pika!
Krystal: Wow! Perrykins has a Pikachu! Awesome!
Perry: Now’s your chance, Pikachu! Thunderbolt!
Perry’s Pikachu: Pika!
Pikachu’s cheeks turned yellow, and he let out a huge jolt of electricity at Team Rocket, sending them into the air.

Jessie: This scheme turned out to be quite a dud.
James: Because those twerps were sticks in the mud.
Wobbuffet: Wah-buffet!
Then, the team landed on their Bewear, which caught them.

Illoo: You did it! You helped me out!
Perry: Oh, it was nothing, and call me Perry!
Illoo: Thanks, Perry!
Krystal: I couldn’t have done it without my trusty Bayleef!
Bayleef: Bay, Bayleef!
Melanie: And I couldn’t have done it without my Chimchar!
Chimchar: Chimchar!
Oliver: If it wasn’t for my Totodile, you would’ve been done for.
Totodile: Totodile!
Tommy: My Venusaur helped out too.
Venusaur: Venusaur!
Lola: My Froakie also did the job, right, Froakie?
Froakie: Froakie!

Then, Froakie did the next best thing. He turned white.
Lola: Huh?!
Krystal: Is that what I think it means?!
Melanie: Your Froakie’s evolving!
Froakie grew bigger, and as the white disappeared, Froakie is now bigger, looks more like a real frog, has dark blue parts, and wears his bubbles like a scarf.
Krystal: According to my research, your Froakie has evolved into a Frogadier! That’s an achievement!
Lola: Now that wasn’t so bad, right, Froak- - I mean Frogadier?
Frogadier: Frogadier!

Soon, it was time for Illoo to leave the gang.
Illoo: Goodbye, new friends! And thanks for everything.
Lola: So where are you going, Illoo?
Illoo: I’m going to be training on my own, across the land, and maybe entering my Pyroar in a circus.
Perry: Your Pyroar could be the mane attraction!
Tommy, Lola, Krystal, Melanie and Oliver: Perry!

And with that, Illoo left the 6 friends.
Krystal: I’m surprised you have a Pikachu now, Perrykins!
Perry: Caught it today while me and the other boys were out in the park. Oliver helped too.
Oliver: Sure did. My trusty Pikachu did the work.
And so, our heroes have saved the day again. Perry caught a Pikachu, and Lola’s Froakie evolved into a Frogadier. What kind of adventures lie before our heroes? Stay tuned.
